Conteúdo do Curso:
A Medicina Felina constitui uma parte importante da Clínica de Pequenos Animais. Hoje em dia muitos Veterinários consultam mais gatos do que qualquer outra espécie. Muitos dos sinais clínicos destes animais podem representar um verdadeiro desafio para o diagnóstico. Este curso inclui uma abordagem prática aos principais sinais clínicos apresentados pelos felinos, tais como aumento da temperatura, icterícia, ascite e anemia, baseada na apresentação/discussão de casos clínicos.O curso será interactivo e incluirá uma compilação de diagnósticos diferenciais e planos para diagnóstico. Será enfatizada a interpretação de resultados laboratoriais e a orientação em casos clínicos.

No final do curso, os formandos deverão ser capazes de:
- Estabelecer diagnósticos diferenciais para os principais sinais clínicos apresentados;
- Utilizar métodos apropriados de abordagem e investigação para os sinais clínicos apresentados;
- Orientar os casos clínicos para as principais patologias em felinos.

BELGIUM INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF SMALL ANIMAL VETERINARIANS

After the success of the first edition of Canifelis in 2007, we are proud to present to you our new program for Canifelis 2008. The general subject this year will be ”The geriatric carnivores”.

Every conference will focus on a specific subject of small animal geriatrics and will be presented by an expert speaker in that subject. It is our aim to bring these presentations to you in a focussed and practical way. The offical language of the congress will be English, but a simultaneous translation to French, Dutch and German will be provided.

The aim of the Congress is to bring together veterinarians from around Europe to promote a national and international exchange of knowledge for small animal practitioners. For this reason, a broad range of veterinary specialists from around the world are invited to attend this Congress.
